Senior Engineer, Software

Develop AlphaSense's search infrastructure for scalable information retrieval, improving performance, migration, reliability and observability. Bring at least five years building and operating production distributed systems, large-scale/high-throughput data experience and strong knowledge of sharding, replication, consistency and partition tolerance. Required skills include profiling and resolving bottlenecks, data pipelines, real-time processing or database internals, and comprehensive monitoring/alerting. Vespa/Elasticsearch/Solr, Kubernetes/CRDs/IaC, retrieval/ranking/recommendations, hybrid lexical/vector search and JVM tuning are advantages. The role is remote in Europe or India and offers ownership of a core customer-facing platform.
