Senior Data Engineer

Build reliable batch and streaming data platforms at Valtech, partnering with scientists, ML engineers, analysts and business stakeholders. Required expertise includes Spark, Delta Lake, Python, SQL, data modeling, quality/governance and distributed lakehouse architecture. Deep hands-on experience is needed in either AWS data services plus Databricks or Azure/Fabric, including relevant lakehouse and data integration tools; proficiency in both is advantageous but optional. Bring sound scalability/performance judgment, curiosity, collaborative problem-solving and the ability to challenge business requirements. Useful extras include GenAI/RAG and vector data pipelines, CI/CD, Terraform/CloudFormation, Kafka, Spark optimization, experimentation/ML workloads and consulting or Agile experience.
